Screen Australia ABC Art Bites

Screen Australia and ABC iView Arts are calling for proposals from early career filmmakers, for 6 x 5 minute Arts web series directed and/or produced by early career filmmakers.

Up to four series will be funded and the series will premiere on the ABC Arts channel on iView.

CLOSING DATE for Stage 1 of the applications process - 10 January 2015.

What are they wanting?

Series which illuminate the arts with smart, quality, shareable content. The successful series will be an accessible, engaging and entertaining insight into an aspect of Arts in Australia, rather than just reporting on existing work. They should adopt a fresh approach and appeal to the 18 - 35 year old demographic. Proposals will be assessed against the channel's vision statement 'Where Life and Culture Collide'.

What's available?

Applicants can apply for up to $50 000 for a series from Screen Australia and ABC iView. Should a Tasmanian project be selected, Screen Tasmania will potentially offer up to $25 000 in addition.
