Screen Tasmania Support for AIDC 2023
Screen Tasmania is pleased to partner with the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) — Australia’s premier event for non-fiction content, which elevates documentary and factual storytelling across all forms.
Hosted in Melbourne from 5-8 March 2023, the industry event includes a marketplace for documentary and factual product, networking opportunities to encourage collaboration between practitioners, and creates a forum to discuss content, craft, technology, and future directions.
Screen Tasmania is committed to supporting Tasmanian practitioners of varying levels of experience to attend the conference and is also offering a stream of support for Tasmanian Aboriginal or First Nations practitioners, and those from diverse or under-represented groups.
Screen Tasmania will support:
- Stream 1) MID-CAREER OR EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS: 4 x All Access Passes valued at $875 (in-person) and $125 contribution towards travel expenses (if attending in person), OR an All Access Passes (online) valued at $575
- Stream 2) 5 x All Access Passes valued at $875 (in-person) and $500 contribution towards travel expenses (if attending in person) OR an All Access Passes (online) valued at $575 for the following groups of practitioners:
- Tasmanian Aboriginal and/or First Nations people
- Emerging/Early-Career (0-5 years’ experience in screen or interactive media production)
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) people
- People with disability
- Women
- LGBTIQA+ people
- Non-binary people

- Applicants will have to provide a short response outlining their reason for wishing to attend AIDC.
