Pitch Plot and Produce Development Initiative
Screen Tasmanian and Screen Australia are proud to announce Pitch, Plot and Produce, an exciting new, low-budget feature film initiative comprised of a series of workshops run over eight months and focused on low budget features that can be shot in Tasmania. The workshops will be run by three internationally acclaimed young filmmakers, Sophie Hyde, Zak Hilditch and Jonathan auf der Heide, with special guest consultants including filmmakers Rolf de Heer and Sean Byrne, and Madman producer Nick Batzias.
Nerida Moore from Screen Australia says: "We are thrilled to be involved in this bold and innovative new feature film development initiative with Screen Tasmania. Pitch, Plot and Produce offers a tailored 360 degree development package, with a strong list of international award-winning filmmakers working with teams of Tasmanian screen practitioners."
The flexible creative workshops will be tailored to meet the specific needs of each creative team/project and will include script-development sessions, case studies, script rehearsals and performances, improvised jazz and acting performances, painting sessions, location scouting, shooting, script and production consultancies looking at everything from character development to storyboarding, rehearsal techniques, financing alternatives and creative producing challenges - all driving towards the production of an exciting and original low budget feature film that can be shot in Tasmania.
