SBS Comedy Runway
Screen Tasmania and SBS are co-funding the SBS Comedy Runway initiative for Tasmania.
SBS recently announced the successful Tasmanian teams who will receive $20 000 each to develop their narrative comedy pilot for the SBS comedy website.
The comedy, Apocalypse Events by Andrew Quaile, takes corporate team-building to new levels, while the black comedy, Nulton from Cathy Allen and Matthew Stolp is about a Dutch backpacker trapped down a mine in rural Tasmania.
Congratulations to all the applicants. SBS feedback was that the standard of applications from Tasmania was very high.

Tasmanian AIDC Delegation
Screen Tasmania took a delegation of Tasmania screen practitioners to the AIDC/DocWeek event in March 2014.
This provided Tasmanian practitioners with the opportunity to network and have pitching sessions with some of Australia's top industry professionals.
The delegation identified current trends and opportunities - which have been collated and put into a document which can be accessed here.
