Calling On-Line Content Creators

YouTube and iView lunchtime presentation hosted by Screen Tasmania

This is a fantastic opportunity to get inside industry knowledge on the exciting world of
on-line content creation and distribution from two industry experts.

YouTube's Manager of Content Partnerships and Entertainment, Kristen Bowen will provide expert advice on distributing and marketing your content so you can generate income.

YouTube attracts more than four billion views a day with three days of content uploaded every minute - prompting the question, how does your content get noticed?

Kristen has valuable tips on how to attract audiences and most importantly, how do you keep them engaged.

She can answer all your questions on metadata, thumbnails and annotations.

ABC Head of Online and Multiplatform, Arul Baskaran will talk about what opportunities exist for content creators on ABC's iView.

iView is Australia's most accessible catch-up service with program plays increasing from an average of 10.3 million in 2012 (March-December) to an average of 15.4 million in 2013 (January-August) peaking at 19 million in October 2013.

The presenters are also offering one-on-one sessions for people who need specific advice on creating and distributing on-line content.

To book a one-on-one session, email screenevents@screen.tas.gov.au and specify whether you want to meet with Ms Bowen or Mr Baskaran - or both, and provide two available times.
