1.1 Digital Media Fund

This fund has been developed in recognition of the need to strategically drive growth in narrative-based content for digital platforms.

It encourages Tasmanians to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach and develop, adopt and exploit new and emerging business models for the creation and delivery of compelling online screen content.

Applications can be for either development or production funding of up to $25 000, in the form of an equity investment, for eligible projects which must be:

  • cross media
  • trans-media
  • computer games
  • interactive drama or, comedy for online or mobile delivery (not simply ‘click to play’)
  • online or mobile drama, comedy or documentary webisodes

Ineligible content includes one off productions, re-formatting traditional media content, content that is simply for educational purposes and information delivery, and game-play which does not have a strong narrative.

Projects and applicants must also satisfy a number of other eligibility criteria before submitting an application. For full details, eligibility criteria, assessment criteria and information on how to apply, download the Digital Media Fund guidelines in pdf format.

All applications must include a completed Digital Media Fund application form, available in Word format and applicants should also read the Screen Tasmania General Guidelines and Terms of Trade, both available in pdf format, and completed project history, market strategy, next stage notes and script analysis templates.
