Previous Special Initiatives - LAMPThe Laboratory for Advanced Media Production was founded in 2005 and is Australia's premier emerging media R&D and production lab. Facilitated by the Australian Film TV and Radio School in Sydney, LAMP has reached thousands of media professionals, run hundreds of workshops, seminars and live-in-residentials and developed over 54 projects. Project teams create proof of concepts, engaging presentations and evolve the business, technical and creative aspects of their property, leading to pilots, user testing and participatory audiences. LAMP is also committed to growing a strong Australian mentor pool and is a unique mix of seminars, workshops, immersive rapid prototyping residentials and industry focused product development. LAMP residentials have been held in Tasmania in association with Screen Tasmania and a number of Tasmanian teams have been selected from national applicants to participate.
