Arts Law Seminars for Emerging Screen Practitioners

Robyn Ayres from Arts Law will present two seminars for emerging screen practitioners, covering a number of legal issues specific to the screen industry. This will be a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of some of the legal issues that experienced screen practitioners regularly face.

Topics to be covered by Robyn will be:

  • Copyright in Films
  • Optioning and purchasing underlying rights and/or screenplays
  • Chain of Title
  • Sole Trader verses Company as a business entity
Two sessions will be held, one in Hobart, one in Launceston.

Hobart

  • When - Monday, October 17, 4.30pm to 6pm
  • Where - Arts Tasmania Board Room, 146 Elizabeth St 
Launceston
  • When - Firday, October 21, 1.30pm to 3pm
  • Where - School of Visual and Performing Arts, Board Room Ground Level, 2 Invermay Rd, Inveresk
