Screen Tasmania is proud to announce a landmark partnership with the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and Screen Australia to deliver Talent Camp Tasmania.

Talent Camp Tasmania is a unique opportunity for creative Tasmanians from diverse backgrounds to participate in a five day workshop program aimed at bringing their stories to the large and small screen. It is a part of a series of national workshops being held across the country, supported by each state funding agency, including Screen Tasmania, in conjunction with Screen Australia and AFTRS.

The workshop will be presented by professional filmmakers and creatives and will focus on story development, production considerations and career pathways.

The workshop is free for participants and Screen Tasmania is offering support for accommodation. transportation and access to state-wide participants if needed.

By identifying and nurturing new stories from fresh talent, this initiative will ensure the continued success of the Tasmanian screen production sector.

Participants from under-represented groups in our screen industry with respect to diverse cultural backgrounds, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, geographic disadvantage and socio-economic status are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must submit at least one story idea for a screen production, in any format or genre, to be developed during the workshop. Up to 12 participants will be selected from around Tasmania with two places reserved for Tasmanian Aboriginal participants.
